Extended School Year (ESY)
Extended School Year services are not summer school. ESY is a special education service designed to prevent significant skill regression for eligible students with disabilities. This section helps parents understand what ESY is, how eligibility is determined, and how to advocate for ESY services when a child requires continued instruction to maintain progress in reading and literacy skills.
